Schroders, the UK asset management party, announced on its official website that it has participated in the Monetary Authority of Singapore's Project Guardian initiative to explore the functionality of Tokenized Investment Vehicles (TIV). Schroders also stated that it will collaborate with the global fund distribution network Calastone to explore the capabilities of Variable Capital Companies (VCC) tokenized tools and the circulation of assets related to blockchain technology.
In May of last year, the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and the financial industry collaborated on Project Guardian, which aims to test the tokenization of assets and the use of DeFi applications while managing financial stability and risks. The project aims to develop and showcase open, interoperable networks, trusted entities, and institutional-level DeFi protocols in various areas and scenarios.
