Sinohope Technology Holdings Limited announced today that it will change its English name from "新火科技控股有限公司" to "Sinohope Technology Holdings Limited", while the Chinese name of the company will remain unchanged. The renamed Sinohope Technology will focus more on digital asset custody business.
According to the announcement, the change of the company's English name (after it takes effect) will not in any way affect the rights of shareholders. After the change of the company's name takes effect, all existing shares issued by the company (including existing shares with the current name printed on them) will continue to be valid and serve as registration certificates for the shares, and trading, settlement, registration, and delivery will still be valid.
In addition, the announcement states that the change of the company's English name will only take effect after the following conditions are met: 1. Shareholders approve the necessary special resolution to change the company's name at a special general meeting of shareholders; 2. The Director of the British Virgin Islands Companies Registry approves the change of the company's name and enters the new name in the register.
